Job or business? Many young people in Africa ask this every day.

Here is how I see it:

A job pays you for your time.
A business pays you for the value you create.

A job gives you a steady salary, a team and someone who carries the big risks.
A business gives you freedom and ownership, but the risk and the late nights are yours.

A job can teach you skills, discipline and how real companies work.
A business teaches you sales, patience and how to keep going when nobody is watching.

Neither path is better for everyone. Many strong founders started with a job and learned on someone else's payroll. Many good employees think like owners and grow fast.

The real mistake is not choosing a job or a business. It is drifting with no plan.

So choose on purpose. If you take a job, learn everything you can. If you start a business, solve a real problem people will pay for.
